Christians are called to examine their lives and, at the same time, stay positive in life despite living in a negative world. As they should know, life in this world is just a preparation for the afterlife or the world to come. Therefore, a Christian should always rejoice, pray incessantly, and give thanks at all times (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Here comes the most important question: How should a Christian stay positive in this life? One will need to apply the following smart habits to allow an air of positivity into their life:
In this negative world, you know what to do. Reflect on Romans 12:2: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Let James 1:2-3 help you build a positive outlook in a negative situation: Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
All you need is a moment to open up to someone who would listen. You can approach a friend or family member that you can trust, visit a counsellor, see your minister, or else join a support group. Pray to God that He send someone who can console you and provide wise guidance in your affliction.
There are ways you can do to add positivity in someone’s life today. This includes:
Somebody needs you and you know it. Scripture reminds Christians to encourage one another: Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
